Ace Indian wrestler and one of the favourites to win the gold medal from India, Bajrang Punia did not disappoint as he clinched the gold by beating Lachlan McNeil of Canada. Punia secured a place in the finals on the back of a 10-0 thrashing of England's George Ramm in the men's Men's Freestyle 65 kg category.
The defending champions started off from where he left the semis and took a 4-0 lead before the break before, the Canadian wrestler did pull a few points back after the break but Punia proved too good for his Canadian opponent in the end winning the contest 9-2.
