The Indian contingent for the Commonwealth Games 2022 has taken its medal tally up to five medals including two gold, two silver and one bronze. India managed to get another gold on Day 3 of CWG 2022 as Indian weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won gold in the men's 67 kg category.

Women's T20

The Indian women's team beat arch-rivals Pakistan by 8 wickets to strengthen their semifinal berth chances at the CWG 2022 at Edgbaston. Smriti Mandhana scored an unbeaten 63 off 42 balls to chase the target of 100 runs in just 11.4 overs.

Weightlifting

Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the second gold for India at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in the Men’s 67kg category with a combined lift of 300 kg.

Boxing

Nikhat Zareen qualifies for the Birmingham Games 2022 quarterfinals in the Women’s Over 48kg-50kg (Light Fly) category after beating Helena Ismael Bagao of Mozambique in the Round of 16.

Men’s 63.5kg Light Welterweight category Indian boxer Shiva was knocked out of Round 16 by Scotland's Reece Lynch.

Table Tennis

India men's table tennis team cruised into the semifinals by defeating Bangladesh 3-0. Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran gave a 1-0 lead to the Indian side by defeating Bangladesh's Ramhimlian Bawm, and Mohutasin Ahmed Ridoy 11-8, 11-6, 11-2.

Achanta Sharat Kamal defeated Md Rifat Sabbir by 11-4, 11-7, 11-2 to give India a 2-0 lead while Sathiyan Gnanasekaran beat Mohutasin Ahmed Ridoy 11-2, 11-3, 11-5.

Lawn Bowls

Men’s Pair Section C (Round 5): The Indian men's pair of Dinesh Kumar and Sunil Bahadur defeated the English pair of Jamie Walker and Sam Tolchard and booked the quarterfinals berth.

Squash

India’s Joshana Chinappa advanced into women's singles quarter-finals after beating New Zealand’s Kaitlyn Watts 3-1.
