UFC star Conor McGregor is finally back to his rigorous preparations as he aims for a return to the cage after breaking his leg last year. The 'Notorious' has been out of action since suffering a gruesome leg injury during his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier last July and has been spending the last nine months recovering from it. But, the 33-year-old is now in the final stages of recovery and has recently resumed boxing training sessions.

McGregor has been sharing pictures and videos of his training sessions at the Crumlin Boxing Club in Dublin and has begun sparring with his training partners in the ring. Amidst stiff training, UFC star shared a picture of himself indicating inspirational transformation from 2015 to 2022.

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor took to Instagram to share photos of his physical change over the years. "Climb the ladder," he captioned the post.

Impressed with his transformation, fans were quick to comment as a fan wrote, "That's insane how he was able to dominate different weight classes like that," while others said, "2014-2016 was the golden age."

Speaking of McGregor's return, he reportedly aims to mark his return to the Octagon as soon as this summer, where he is reportedly eyeing a fight against welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. However, UFC President Dana White has reportedly suggested that McGregor will not return to the ring until autumn.

"We're looking at early fall if everything goes right. If his leg heals right and he gets the clearance to start training, then possibly early fall," he was quoted. Joe Rogan has also warned McGregor against making a speedy return to the Octagon, mainly if that means facing current welterweight champion, Usman, who retained his welterweight championship by defeating Colby Covington last November at UFC 268, in a match that he won via unanimous decision.
