The highly-anticipated ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 kickstarted on Tuesday, September 30 with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the event. While India were initially given the hosting rights, with the showpiece event returning to India after 12 years, a part of it will be hosted in Sri Lanka after ICC’s agreement to host it in a hybrid model due to Pakistan’s denial to travel and play in India.
