After the T20 World Cup gets over, all the focus will shift to the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of the IPL, former Indian skipper and Mumbai Indians’ star batsman Rohit Sharma was seen practicing in the nets at the Shivaji Park. Sharma looked in good shape as he eyes his sixth IPL trophy with Mumbai.

Multiple videos and social media posts are making rounds on the internet where Rohit is seen practicing in the nets. A huge crowd of fans and young cricketers surrounded Rohit when he entered the Shivaji Park for his net session. A lot of people also gathered near the net where Rohit was practising.

Sharma was also recorded while playing the reverse sweep and other creative shots in the net. There was so much crowd that Rohit had to practice under the supervision of a lot of bodyguards and security. The highlight of the session was Rohit’s physical transformation. The former Mumbai Indians’ captain has doubled down on his fitness and the results are there for everyone to see. He looks so much fitter, sharp and raring to go ahead of the IPL.

The Shivaji Park is an iconic place in Mumbai for cricket lovers and experts because of its rich cricketing legacy. This ground has created so many superstars for the Indian cricket team, including the likes of the great Sachin Tendulkar, Ajit Agarkar, Vinod Kambli, Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw and so many others.

Rohit is working hard in the nets which makes it clear that he doesn’t wanna play just as an impact player in the IPL. The 38-year-old was used as an impact player on multiple occasions in the season gone by, but looks like it wouldn’t be the same this year. As per reports, Rohit Sharma was in the nets for nearly two hours in the scorching heat of Mumbai.
