With the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 commencing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday, September 9 with Afghanistan stamping their authority with a massive 94-run win over Hong Kong in the opening match, the Men in Blue will kickstart their campaign on Wednesday, September 10 when they take on UAE at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

While the Men in Blue will return to action after a month long break, the team will play their first T20I match in seven months after their last outing came early in February against England at home. Notably, India has been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman and will enter the tournament as the defending champions.

But just hours ahead of their opening game against the UAE in Dubai, star pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen taking time out to see the UAE batters practice in the nets. The left-armer observed from the stands as the UAE batters were fine-tuning their skill.

It is to be noted that Arshdeep Singh is India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is with 99 scalps in 63 matches at an average of 18.30. With one more wicket, he will join the 100-wicket club, thus becoming the fourth-fastest bowler overall to reach the milestone and the fastest among the Indian pacers to ever do so in T20Is.
