In the latest turn of events in the Asia Cup 2025, it was India who have continued their pure domination in the tournament and yet again managed to overcome the challenge of their historical rivals Pakistan. India racked up the first innings with consistent wickets restricting Pakistan to 127 runs. Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma played handy knocks to chase the target with ease and India eventually defeated Pakistan by seven wickets
Reflecting upon the match, former Pakistan Captain Yousuf Mohammed and batting all-rounder(formerly known as Yousuf Yohana was seen on live TV discussing the match. However, Yousuf was seen taking a dig at the Indian Captain Suryakumar Yadav and deliberately kept on abusing him on live TV. The former Pakistan captain intentionally kept on calling Suryakumar Yadav a ‘Pig’ despite the anchor trying to correct the former Pakistan cricketer.
India should feel ashamed of the way they are trying to get the win: Yousuf Mohammed
Yousuf Mohammed exclaimed on Samaa TV, “These guys are not able to get out of the film world. Ye Suar Kumar jo hai… Suar Kumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win. Getting the umpires in cahoots with them, using the referee to torture (Pakistan).” He kept on reciting that the referee was against Pakistan throughout the entire match and kept on making decisions against them. Pakistan have also reportedly filed a complaint against the referee to suspend him from further matches in the Asia Cup.
Yousuf further added on the referee controversy stating, "India have probably given the umpire’s finger to (Indian Prime Minister, Narendra) Modi; it just wouldn’t get up whenever we appealed."However, nothing changes the fact that Suryakumar Yadav guided India to victory and dedicated it to all the Pahalgam attack victims and armed forces.
