Pakistan batter Mohammad Haris went on to break his bat in anger after getting cheaply against UAE in the 2025 Tri-Series clash in Sharjah on Saturday, August 30. Pakistan registered a convincing win over UAE by 31 runs. However, Haris had an off outing with the bat as he could only score just one run off two balls.

In the 17th over of Pakistan’s innings, Mohammad Haris played a reckless shot against UAE pacer Junaid Siddique as Muhammad Jawadullah made no mistake in grabbing an easy catch. After his dismissal, Haris was left furious and went on to unleash his anger on his bat. His bat was completely destroyed from the handle while he was walking back to the pavilion.

Talking about the match, Pakistan defeated the hosts UAE by 31 runs to register second win in the ongoing Tri-Series. Batting first, Pakistan were all out on 207 runs after 20 overs. Saim Ayub was top scorer with 69 runs off 38 balls while Hasan Nawaz contributed with 56(26) runs. For UAE, Junaid Siddique and Saghir Khan took three wickets while Haider Ali put two in his bag.

 

Chasing the winning target, UAE went on to lose wickets at regular intervals with skipper Muhammad Waseem scoring a quickfire 33 runs off 18 balls hitting three fours and two sixes. UAE were reduced to 4/68 in 8.4 overs. After that, Asif Khan took charge of the innings and went on to score a fighting 77 runs off just 35 balls. His innings consisted of six fours and as many sixes. However, his heroics went in vain as UAE were restricted to 176 losing eight wickets in their 20 overs. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali took three wickets, Mohammad Nawaz took two while Saim Ayub and Salman Mirza scalped a wicket each.
