Former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam ul Haq has requested the ICC to check Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma's bat as he thinks there is a spring inside the bat. This hilarious claim by the former Pakistan players comes after Abhishek Sharma has been on a rampage and scored a 14 ball half century against New Zealand. A statement made by Inzamam ul Haq saying that “ICC should check Abhishek Sharma’s bat. I think it has a spring inside because the way he is hitting every ball is suspicious.” has gone viral on social media.

Abhishek Sharma has been terrific in the T20I format over the last few years. He has continued his brilliant form in the New Zealand series. In the Asia Cup that took place last year, Abhishek Sharma smashed Shaheen Afridi and other Pakistan bowlers to all corners and even responded to their sledging. It was a one sided battle as Abhishek dominated Pakistan in the Asia Cup and India beat Pakistan in all the three matches. These type of statements are not new by former Pakistan players. During the 2023 WC, a former Pakistan cricketer made a hilarious claim that India were using a chip in the ball which allows bowlers like Shami to be lethal. This claim went so viral that even pacer Shami responded to it and shut their mouth.

In the third T20I match against New Zealand chasing a target of 154, India lost an early wicket but it was a brutal onslaught by Abhishek as he smashed 68 runs of just 20 balls which included seven fours and five sixes. In the first T20I, Abhishek needed 22 balls to reach the 50-run mark against New Zealand and in the third reached his half-century in just 14 balls. It is just the second fastest and behind Yuvraj Singh who scored a 12 ball half century against England in 2007 WT20.

During the first T20I match against New Zealand, Abhishek Sharma broke the record of the fastest batter in the world to score 5000 runs in T20 cricket. Abhishek Sharma has scored 1267 runs in his T20I career at a stunning strike rate of 195. He has been breaking records for fun and he will be the key player for India in the upcoming WT20.
