The Lucknow Super Giants youngster Akash Singh has picked his first wicket of the season with the dismissal of the CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. He even pulled out a note for his celebration showing the world that Akash Singh knows how to take wickets in T20s. This has been a fine start for the pacer as he has been clinical with his lengths and he had some close calls early on in his first over as well. Following the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad, he has dismissed Sanju Samson and has put the Chennai Super Kings in a spot of bother here.

Mohammed Shami was handed the ball to open the innings and he couldn’t get his lengths just right in the first over as he conceded 13 runs. Despite the Chennai Super Kings having an explosive start, Akash Singh kept the batters at bay with some fine bowling. He kept bowling the good length deliveries and it has paid dividends for the speedster. Akash Singh bowled out his three overs in the power play and he has given his side exactly the start they wanted.

LSG pacers dominate Chennai Super Kings with disciplined bowling

After Akash Singh picked the first wicket of his season, he immediately pulled out a note from his pocket stating, ā€œ#Akki on fire - Akash knows how to pick wickets in T20 gamesā€. He has been benched all season and this is the first time that Rishabh Pant has backed him to debut in the season. The LSG management will be pleased with his bowling and it is now beyond question that the Lucknow Super Giants have the best pace bowling unit in the entire tournament.

Rishabh Pant, the LSG skipper won the toss and elected to bowl first. The main aim of the LSG bowling unit would have been to keep the top 3 silent as the runs have been accumulated mostly from there. Pitch number 6 is the pitch that the game is being played on and this wicket has something that the pacers favour in terms of the bounce that can be extracted. The LSG bowling unit were clinical with their lengths and the opening duo of CSK struggled to find the boundary early on.

The Chennai Super Kings having lost their top 3, will be desperate to form a partnership here to steady the sinking ship. They will need Dewald Brevis to stick around for a longer period of time as he could take them to a commendable total on board and give the bowlers something to bowl at in the second innings.
