
Australia Women continued their dominance in the World Cup as they clinched a record extending seventh Women's T20 World Cup title after beating England Women by eight wickets in the Final of the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup. Australia Women were clinical in all facets and completely dominated the Final.
After opting to bowl first, Australia Women restricted England Women to 150/4 at the end of the first innings. Nat Sciver Brunt was the lone warrior as she scored an unbeaten half century but her scoring rate was not the best and she could not change the gears in the death overs. It was a below par score on a very good surface.
Chasing the target, Australia Women were ruthless as they went all guns blazing in the powerplay. Beth Mooney was the star of the show as she smashed an unbeaten half century as Australia Women chased down the target in x overs to win with eight wickets spare to win the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup.
It was a clash between the two best teams of the tournament with both teams reaching the Final after being unbeaten throughout the competition. The history between these two sides and the anticipation was at an all time high. However, on the big day of the final the Aussies proved why they are the most successful team in the history of Women's T20I cricket as they have clinched a record seventh T20 title. England Women were unbeaten at home World Cups so far but that record has been broken by Australia Women.

Australia Women started off by beating South Africa Women in their opening game and continued to dominate the group stage. They beat West Indies comprehensively in the semi-finals and went on to beat England in the Final. They have been the best team by far in this tournament and have created history.
