In the second over of the KKR innings, Finn Allen hit a high shot toward the deep third region. Digvesh Rathi, positioned near the boundary, successfully grabbed the ball. However, Allen was adjudged "Out" without a formal review from the third umpire, even though replays appeared to show Rathi’s toe touching the boundary cushion during the take.

Fans and experts expressed frustration over the lack of a third-umpire referral. Many users called the decision a "scam" or an "umpiring blunder," questioning why the technology was not used for such a close call. While KKR fans were vocal about Allen being "robbed," some LSG supporters praised Rathi for "safe hands" and a "brilliant" effort on the boundary.

KKR to face another batting collapse?

In the IPL 2026 match at Eden Gardens, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
