Trailblazing and talented, dismissive and fearless! These aren’t just any words; these are expressions that befit one of the most important current figures in the present day Indian T20 side that’s filled with sprawling talents already. And these words tend to do justice to a certain Ishan Kishan, who courtesy his dominant hundred, led to the falling of the Kiwis. There was a time when it was firmly established that up the order in the Indian white ball cricket, none other than Ishan Kishan was a familiar sight.
One that had already begun well batting alongside his then usual-opening-batting partner Shubman Gill. In fact, Ishan Kishan’s mega ODI double century, too, came with him as a top order feature in the fifty over format for India. But such mega knocks came well over two years ago; of lately, he’s had to really fight his way back into the team in which he broke as many as three full seasons ago. But a valid case in point that establishes his form and desire to (once again) excel for India is the recent T20I series completed against New Zealand.
The team famously called the BlackCaps were almost whitewashed had it not been for their sudden and solitary win in the fourth game of the series.
And truth be told, a large part of why and how India were able to dominate and downplay its Kiwis counterparts was because of Ishan Kishan.

A few hours ago- Ishan Kishan plotted the downfall of the New Zealand side courtesy a blistering 42-ball-hundred in the fifth and final contest of the T20 series. But even then, even after scoring a triumphant and dominant hundred, the best that he could, one that sufficiently serves a case in point (that he must be picked for the World Cup), it appears that the left hander isn’t fully content with himself.
The following is what he had to say about the recent knock on Indian soil- I still feel I am not there yet - Yes, I have done well and I am getting these awards, but my focus is firmly on the World Cup".
