The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, 7 February, at 6 PM IST at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Rapper Badshah, Bollywood performer Nora Fatehi, Indian sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, and percussionist Shivamani will perform in the opening ceremony.

Aditya Prateek Singh, aka Badshah, is a popular Indian rapper famous for his songs like Saturday Saturday, Abhi to Party Shuru Hui Hai, Kar Gayi Chul, Proper Patola, and Garmi.

Nora Fatehi is a popular Bollywood performer. She is a Canadian dancer famous for her special appearances in songs in movies like Bahubali: The Beginning and Kick 2. 

Rishab Rikhiram Sharma is a famous Indian sitar prodigy and music producer. The 26-year-old is now known for blending traditional Indian classical music with contemporary influences.

Anandan Shivamani is an Indian percussionist. The 66-year-old plays instruments like drums, Kanjara, ghatam, udukai, darbuka, and octoban. He is associated with the Chennai Super Kings franchise.

After the opening ceremony, India will clash with the USA at the Wankhede Stadium. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team in the home World Cup. The Indian team is in red-hot form and is considered one of the favorites to win the title. On the other hand, the USA also features some exciting names like Andres Gous, Saurabh Netravalkar, and Monank Patel. Notably, they defeated Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup in a Super Over.
