The Women in Blue have put on a terrific display of bowling against the South Africa Women in the T20I series finale. South Africa Women were off to a decent start as the openers put on an opening wicket partnership of 75 runs. From there they lost 3 wickets for the span of just 7 runs and the Indian women were back on track. Deepti Sharma and Shree Charani were on a roll as they picked up 4 wickets together and the South African Women couldnโt just play them out.
India had very little to fight for in the series as the South Africa Women had won the first 3 games of the series but India did win the 4th match of the series. India have prevented a whitewash from the dominant South African side but they will be hopeful of securing one more win in the series. Indiaโs fielding has been disappointing but they will be happy that they have limited their opposition to a total of 155 after the 20 overs, credit to some clinical bowling.
Deepti Sharma and Shree Charani lead comeback as fans hail late wickets after strong Proteas start
The fans on X have appreciated the bowling efforts of India to get back into the game after the wicketless run of 9 overs. Renuka Singh was splendid in her bowling spell as she picked up 2 wickets as well and was well supported by the likes of Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma as well. Here are some of the reactions on X:
Renuka Singh strikes for a second time in the over, trapping Nadine de Klerk lbw for 1. Pulling to the leg-side & missed, but a poor decision - too high and going down leg. South Africa 124-6.

So South Africa end on 155-6, certainly competitive. Sinalo Jafta an important 16 not out off just 8 balls. Pacer Renuka Singh bowled a maiden over in the 17th & finished with 2-21 in 4, left-arm spinner Shree Charani also excellent 4-0-22-2.
