Indian pacers put up a splendid show against South Africa in the Super 8 match. South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. But things did not go as they planned as Indian pacers dominated the powerplay and have put India in the pole position. South Africa were restricted to 41/3 at the end of the powerplay with the pacers doing most of the damage. Arshdeep picked up one wicket while Jasprit Bumrah scalped two wickets early to rock back Proteas. Quinton De Kock was the first batter to go as he was dismissed for six by Bumrah. In the next over, South African captain Aiden Markram fell to Arshdeep Singh as South Africa were reduced to 12/2. India and South Africa are placed in the group with Zimbabwe and West Indies. So this is a very crucial game for both teams as a win here almost eases the pressure. India have dominated the powerplay but South Africa are rebuilding with Miller and Brevis.
