Lucknow Super Giants pulled things back brilliantly as they restricted Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 203 and won the game by nine runs.

LSG – 209/5 (Marsh 111, Krunal 1/31) beat RCB – 203/6 (Patidar 61, Prince 3/33)

Prince Yadav: I misfielded the first ball, but I knew I had to put it behind me and ensure I don't lose focus. After the last match I was talking to Virat bhaiya and he only told me - as long as it's moving around off a length, stick to that length (talking about the Kohli wicket). We lost six consecutive matches but will continue to put in efforts.

Rajat Patidar | RCB captain:

We were pretty sure how to go about the target. Boys played well and the way we stretched this game, just one or two shots behind. It was really good batting track. Was coming nicely on the bat. Difficult to analyse just after the game, need some time to analyse it. We have four games more, just taking one game at a time, one step at a time. Mitchell Marsh was beautiful, the way he played. And especially in the powerplay, he kept us under pressure. I was confused about the bowlers - who should I bowl to Mitchell Marsh just after the powerplay. But I think the way he played, I think that was a tremendous inning. The way we played, that was really good intent showed by all batsmen. Everyone is looking confident and in a great space of mind.

Rishabh Pant | LSG captain:

It was a good game for us for sure. For the whole team it means a lot. We have been trying lot of things. Coming to the same page means a lot for us. It's been a tough season but sometimes you have to go through the grind. Definitely we were trying to put together a perfect game where batting and bowling comes together. It was a tough call. We were under pressure. Rathi was the right matchup for Shepherd. Unbelievable (Marsh innings). We know that as a team we've been grinding hard. Our strength this season has been bowling, the way all the bowlers have put their heart out. There has been some good things as a bowling unit, and looking forward to that.

Mitchell Marsh | Player of the Match:

Yes it has (been a tough season). Nice to get on the right side of the game and get a win. Disappointing season but still a lot to play for. Few of the Indian boys said the day before that it looked a bit better (the pitch). I just tried to get as many as I could in the powerplay and get us off to a good start. Have an impact on the game. The last two games we've batted really well. Probably 10-15 short in Mumbai on a really good wicket. Tonight we were courageous with the ball. Proud of some of the young guys in the squad to be able to defend that.

This is a crucial win for Lucknow Super Giants and breaks their losing streak. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru would be disappointed and will be keen to bounce back stronger. This has been a thrilling match and the fans were entertained to some quality cricket
