In June 2014, an episode of Comedy Nights with Kapil had aired starring Virat Kohli, who was considered to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. During a segment, Virat Kohli addressed Ravindra Jadeja as the team’s biggest ‘feku’ in a light-hearted manner. He went on to say that the star all-rounder spins tales regarding his hometown, Jamnagar and that two buildings in the city get closer to each other by a width of a grain of rice.

Not only this, but according to Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja also claimed that the world will end once the buildings touch each other. He then mocked Jadeja for his tale that claims that there is a statue of a king on a horse in his city, and that every year an alternate leg will be on air and that sometimes even the hand that the sword holds also shifts.
In a video posted by the Rajasthan Royals on X, Ravindra Jadeja clarified his statement that he had made to Virat Kohli 10-12 years back. The dynamic all-rounder claimed that he had mentioned Jesal Toral and the memorial shrines that tend to come nearer every year. He closed out the video stating that if you do a bit of research, you will eventually figure out that it is a true story.
The tale of the Jesal Toral Samadhi in Gujarat appears to be true according to the legend of the city. It is mentioned that the tombs of Jesal and Toral appear to be closer to each other every year by 1 cm and that when they eventually touch, it will be the end of the world.
