Jos Buttler is sadly not nearly consistently mentioned among the great white ball players that the game has seen all along and especially in the last decade and a half. And for someone who nearly perfected his sporting talent in the shortest format of the game especially at a time where the format itself is bursting at a global stage like hot molten lava, as a fan you’re compelled to say that you’re disappointed by what you are seeing and have seen.
And most recently, the humble and uncomplicated cricketer marched along so rapidly and wonderfully on the path of a glowing record in the sport’s shortest format that you can’t help but tip your hat in pure admiration!
Not Christopher Henry Gayle, not Kieron Pollard either, the man now responsible for having struck the most number of runs in T20 cricket - not internationals, exclusively- is none other than one of England’s favourite sons.
With striking no fewer than 14,833 runs, Jos Buttler now has positioned himself right on the top of the tree where it comes to hitting most number of runs in T20 cricket.
Interestingly, just a while earlier, the said record belonged to Chris Gayle who has 14,803 runs in the very format. But then, the universal boss has been displaced by, you can say, a worthy and deserving opponent.
What a brilliant piece of development it actually is to see Jos Buttler as the man with the most amount of T20 runs.
And with at least, if not more, 3 more years of cricket left in him, it can be said that Buttler can easily scale 17,000 or probably even more runs in the said format.
What do you reckon? Having said that, the in form better as seen in The Hundred most recently has had a great run for England whilst playing T20Is.
It’s meaningful to admire his stupendous English records.

So what is it that we are talking about here?
The soon-to-be 36 cricketer has already amassed 4200 plus runs in an English jersey for his country and that too, from just 160 games. With 2 hundreds and 28 fifties, his is a glowing record that perhaps must be given due consideration just the way we admire some other giants of the format such as Gayle, Rohit and Kohli.
