Bangladesh wicket-keeper Litton Das was caught on stump mic taunting Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan during the first Test match in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Monday. The incident took place on the 38th over of Pakistan’s innings when Pakistan were 152 for 5. Mohammad Rizwan and Shaud Shakeel were building a partnership of 31 runs and were trying to save the test match with 116 more runs remaining to win the historic test. Litton Das was then heard via stump mic, mocking Mohammad Rizwan’s reputation back home as ‘very bad’ and trying to motivate the bowler, saying Pakistan is just trying to save the test match at this point, and they can’t make it.

“He (Mohammad Rizwan) already has a poor reputation in his own country. If he tries to play aggressively and gets out, he may find it difficult to return home. They are now trying to save the Test. They have no chance of winning.” Litton Das was caught saying on the stump mic in the Bengali language.

Rizwan ultimately failed to make an impact as Pakistan collapsed later as he only managed scoring 15 off 46 balls, losing their final five wickets for just 11 runs.

Nahid Rana’s five-wicket haul helped Bangladesh win the historic first Test

Nahid Rana produced a match-winning spell of 5-40 in the final session of the 1st Test on May 12, 2026, helping Bangladesh get a 104-run victory over Pakistan in Dhaka. His sensational spell dismissed Pakistan for 163, securing Bangladesh's first-ever home Test win against Pakistan, making history.

Chasing 268, Pakistan was just 119/3 thanks to Abdullah Fazal scoring a 66 to give Pakistan some breath of fresh air. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, who had a great match with his willow scores of 101 and 87, also impressed with his tactical decisions, and got Rana back into the attack. Rana turned the game around in the final session with his spell with the old ball. After dismissing Masood, he got rid of Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Noman Ali, and Shaheen Afridi to bowl out Pakistan at 163. This was his second Test fifer and a total of 33 wickets in 11 Test matches.
