India scripted history at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad after winning back-to-back T20 World Cups. Statistically, no team has ever been able to achieve this feat. Interestingly, no team has won T20 World Cup at home, making it extra special. To add to Indian fans delight, former cricketer and all-three ICC winning captain MS Dhoni posted about Indian team, congratulating them on winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup trophy for the third time.
MS Dhoni, who stays away from social media and generally avoids commenting about the games and tournament, has been seen at the venue in both semi final and the final of 2026 T20 World Cup. MS Dhoni, who recently joined the Chennai Super Kings team for the pre season camp, took a few days off to attend Sachin Tendulkar son's wedding and also attending semi final and final match of the tournament.
MS Dhoni, who isn't that expressive ended up appreciating Jasprit Bumrah and said what more he can say about the gun bowler. Along with that, he made a funny but a nice little statement on head coach Gautam Gambhir, asking him to smile a bit more.
