BCCI felicitated India’s five World Cup winning teams on March 15 at the annual Naman Awards 2026/ The Under 19 Women’s team, U19 Men’s team, ICC Champion Trophy 2025, India Women’s side and India T20 side led by Suryakumar Yadav were honoured by the BCCI at the award ceremony. There were plenty of awards given. During this Suryakumar Yadav was interviewed by Harsha Bhogle during which the Indian T20I Captain Suryakumar was asked about the title winning run of Indian sides to which he said that ’’If this wonderful run has started, let’s try and collect as many trophies as possible’’. Suryakumar Yadav was captain of the Indian side that won the 2026 WT20 and currently India are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup which they have gone back to back. They won the Champions Trophy 2025. The Under 19 Men’s side won the World Cup 2026. Harmanpreet Kaur led Indian Women team has won the 2025 Women’s World Cup and India Under 19 Women are also the defending champions. There has been dominance from the Indian team in white ball cricket and it is no secret that they are currently the most consistent white ball side in the international circuit.

It is clear that India has dominated the white ball cricket across different levels and both Men and Women have performed extremely well in the last few years. There has been a stunning consistency in the ICC events for the Indian side and given the way they are performing Suryakumar Yadav says that the aim is to keep winning and collect as many trophies as possible.
During the Naman 2026 awards all teams were honoured and acknowledged for their efforts. Meanwhile Shubman Gill won the Men’s cricketer of the year for his outstanding performance across formats while Smriti Mandhana won the Women’s cricketer of the year. The Naman 2026 awards were a huge success and all the deserving players from both men and women across international and domestic circuit were recognized and awarded.
