After pulling off a historic and famous win over Pakistan, India will face off against the Netherlands in their final Group stage fixture of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue have won all of their group stage matches so far defeating the likes of USA, Namibia and most recently Pakistan. They have already qualified for the Super 8 as the table toppers of Group A and will go into their last group game with no pressure.

Ahead of the clash between India and the Netherlands, Scott Edwards, the captain of the Dutch side has come up with a massive statement. The 29-year-old has sent a statement of intent across the league about how his side will approach the game against India.

The Dutch man began by labelling India to be a very strong team. He said that, "India is a very strong team, there’s no doubt about that.

He also added that his side has made a certain gameplan to challenge the defending champions and if the plans can be put to perfection, the Netherlands can defeat India in India.,

“But we also have some plans, and if we can execute them properly, we can definitely beat India,” He remained confident and concluded by saying that there is a feeling of self belief in the camp about beating the men in blue. “And we believe that we will beat India."

What does this statement do?

This is a huge statement from the Dutch captain in context of the game between India and the Netherlands.
