He went on to dismiss Naman Dhir off the very next ball as Mumbai Indians lost 2 wickets in the first over for just one run. Dewald Brevis was the next to depart as he fell for a duck while Ishan Kishan also lost his wicket to Nandre Burger for 16 as Mumbai lost four wickets within the first four overs of the game.
Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya consolidated and built a partnership as Mumbai Indians were trying to make a comeback. Yuzvendra Chahal came in and picked up the big wicket of Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians continued to lose wickets. They were reduced to 125/9 at the end of the first innings. Boult and Chahal picked up three wickets while Burger ended his spell with two wickets. It was a very disappointing performance from the home side.
Rajasthan Royals lost Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first over of the chase but the other batters stepped up as Rajasthan Royals comfortably chased down the target within 16 overs and won the match by six wickets. RR completely outclassed Mumbai Indians in all aspects of the game. Trent Boult was the player of the match for his spell of three wickets and it was a dominant performance from the RR side.
