RCB plays it's first match against the power packed team of SRH and as they start the match, as said by the RCB management during their press conference, they've allotted eleven seats for the martyrs who had lost their lives during the 2025 stampede. 

The players of both the teams, wore black armbands in the remembrance of their fans and the RCB squad was seen wearing NO.11 jerseys during their practise session today.

The toss was done by the captains of the teams, Rajat Patidar and Ishaan Kishan (who filled the shoes of Pat Cummins), with RCB deciding to field today.

Before the match began, the entire stadium and management of both the teams observed a two minute silence for the 11 people who lost their lives during the stampede of RCB’s winning parade in 2025. 

The Dream debuts take a start

RCB is starting it's 2026 campaign with its title winning squad while Abhinandan Singh makes his debut in the IPL team at the age of 31, before even becoming a part of his state team. The oversees debut from RCB today is the England player Jacod Duffy. 

SRH is playing with their young captain Ishaan Kishan, with Abhishek Sharma as the Vice Captain. Meanwhile Salil Arora, the young player in the SRH squad makes his IPL debut at the age of 23. The Punjab player is set to fill the big shoes under the guidance of players like Klassen, Kishan and Sharma.
