It is no secret that Rohit Sharma and RP Singh are dear friends of Shikhar Dhawan, and they being at the Shikhar Dhawan's reception didn't come as a shocker. Rohit Sharma, who has opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan for years joined the celebration with his wife. Similarly, RP Singh, who is currently serving as the selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) joined the celebration with his wife. 

Shikhar Dhawan got married to his long-standing girlfriend Sophie Shine on 21 February in New Delhi. The duo has been dating each other for a while and Sophie has been living in India, learning the culture of India.

Further, Virat Kohli, who also hails from Delhi wasn't able to attend the wedding. However, he didn't miss a chance to congratulate the couple. He took to social media to congratulate the duo and said, "Congratulations jatt jee" 

Shikhar Dhawan has served India in all three formats of the game and his flamboyance on the field was one to watch. He was the one who was able to smash the ball all around the park and also manage the pressure in the crunch situations. He is still regarded as one of the best openers India has ever produced. In 2025, Shikhar Dhawan announced retirememnt from all forms of the game.
