Rohit Sharma turned back the clock with a magnificent century in the third ODI against England at Lord's on Sunday, reaching the three figure mark in style. The former Indian captain brought up his hundred with a boundary, sparking huge celebrations inside the iconic stadium as teammates and fans rose to applaud him. It was another masterclass from Rohit, who paced his innings beautifully after reaching his fifty earlier in the chase. His knock had elegance with authority, the right-hander punished anything loose while keeping India's chase firmly on track.

Rohit Sharma completed his half century in 50 balls but later accelerated and made his century off just 84 balls. He brought it up with a sweep to Adil Rashid. This was the 34th ODI century for the veteran. He smashed 12 fours and four sixes in his innings.

Rohit Sharma scripts history with record-breaking century at Lord's

Rohit's hundred was historic in more ways than one. With his commanding knock, he became the first Indian batter to score an ODI century at Lord's, surpassing the previous highest score by an Indian at the venue - Sourav Ganguly's 90 against England in 2004. At 39 years and 80 days, the Indian skipper also entered the record books as the oldest player to score an ODI century at Lord's, while also becoming India's oldest centurion across all formats, adding yet another remarkable milestone to his illustrious career.
