Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women beat Delhi Capitals Women by 6 wickets to win their second WPL Title. Delhi Capitals Women were batting first and the opening partnership started really well putting up 49 runs for the first wicket partnership before Shafali Verma fell to Arundati Reddy for 20. Lizelle Lee continued to motor along but soon she was dismissed as Delhi Capitals were reduced to 72/2 in 7.3 overs. The game was right in the balance. Delhi captain Jemimah Rodrigues came into bat and showed intent straight away. She stitched up an excellent partnership with Laura Wolvaardt and the runs came in very quick time. Jemimah Rodrigues completed her half-century and put Delhi in a dominant position.

However, she was dismissed in the 16th over as the score was 148/3 with four overs left in the innings. The last four overs were carnage from Delhi Capitals as Chinelle Henry as she smashed 35 runs of just 15 balls while Wolvaardt scored 44 runs of 25 balls as Delhi Capitals Women had a grand finish. They reached 203/4 at the end of the first innings and it was a spectacular total and all the batters were excellent today.

In the chase, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost Grace Harris early but Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll were in full flow and took the bowlers to the cleaners. Royal Challengers Bengaluru were keeping up with the rate in the first ten overs of the chase and both batters got to their half centuries. Voll scored her fifty in 37 balls while Smriti needed only 23 balls to complete her half century. Both batters kept going and it was really difficult for Delhi Capitals from there on. After losing the first wicket for nine, these two just took the game completely away. Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached 169/1 in 16 overs and needed just 35 runs of the last four overs with nine wickets in hand.

This partnership was more than 150 with both batters going all guns blazing. Voll unfortunately was dismissed for 79 and they needed 27 runs of the last three overs. In the next over Richa Gosh got out and the game became tense. Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased down the target in the last over with six wickets spare to win their second WPL title. Smriti Mandhana also won the orange cap and it has been a dream run for RCB Women in this WPL 2026.
