119* vs England in 1990
During the 1990 Manchester Test against England, Tendulkar displayed a classy batting performance and hit his first Test century with 119* off 189 balls with 17 boundaries in the fourth innings. His performance helped the Indian team score 343/6 and end the game in a draw. Tendulkar built an impressive 160-run partnership with Manoj Prabhakar for the seventh wicket. Notably, earlier in the game, he came up with 68 runs during the first innings.
146 vs South Africa in 2011
In 2011, Sachin Tendulkar came up with his 51st and last Test hundred during the 2011 Cape Town Test against South Africa. The game saw the Proteas getting bundled out for 362 runs in the first innings. While the Indian team reached 204/2 to 247/6, Tendulkar fought along with the tail-enders and built a 76-run partnership with Harbhajan Singh. He came up with a crucial century and scored 146 runs off 314 balls with 17 fours and two sixes.
154* vs Australia in 2008
During the 2008 Sydney Test, Australia came up with 463 all out, and in return, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman came up with 53 and 109 runs, respectively, to give the side a good start. Later, after Saurav Ganguly’s dismissal at 67, the Indian batting lineup saw a collapse to 345/7. However, Sachin Tendulkar came to the team’s rescue for a strong eighth-wicket partnership with Harbhajan Singh, who scored 63 runs in the 129-run stand. Tendulkar remained not out for 154 off 243 balls and India scored 532 all out.
241* vs Australia in 2004
Hailed as one of the best performances of Sachin Tendulkar, the Indian batting legend came up with a staggering 241* run knock off 436 balls with 33 boundaries in the 2004 Sydney Test. The Indian team declared at 705/7 in the first innings of the Test. Later, during the second innings, he came up with 60* as the Indian team came up with a 443-run target for the fourth innings.
136 vs Pakistan in 1999
Though the game resulted in India losing by 12 runs, Sachin Tendulkar recorded one of the best innings and put up a 136-run score. India needed 271 runs to win the game by the fourth day, and were struggling at 6/2 at the time Sachin Tendulkar walked on the field. However, wickets kept falling, and the score eventually reached 82/5. Nayan Mongia and Tendulkar stitched a 136-run partnership till the former got dismissed. However, after Tendulkar’s dismissal, 17 runs were still needed for India to win their first game against Pakistan in India. The tailenders couldn't finish it, and the hosts ended up on the losing side.
