Salman Khan had reacted to the victory of the Punjab Kings against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by tweeting “ Well done Zinta,Congratulations Zinta, Team is playing well”. It seems to be more of a delayed reaction by Salman Khan as the match took place on Sunday. Fans also suggest that he recreated the viral tweet he made in 2014 after the game between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

After the first qualifier of the 2014 season, the Punjab Kings lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders and he posted "Zinta's team won kya?”. The tweet had gone virat at that time as the Bollywood actor took a hilarious dig at Preity Zinta, who is the co-owner of the franchise and she holds 25% of the stake. The Punjab Kings had also reacted to the tweet of Salman Khan, sharing a moment where their captain, Shreyas Iyer and Salman Khan shared the stage.

PBKS ride strong form and top-order firepower as they eye Mumbai challenge

The Punjab Kings have had a dominant start to the campaign as they are seated at the 2nd position in the table with 7 points. In their opening game of the season, they produced a brilliant display of bowling against the Gujarat Titans as they limited them to a total of 162. The Punjab Kings chased down the total comfortably as Cooper Connolly led them to a victory by 3 wickets. In the 2nd game against the Chennai Super Kings, the Punjab Kings chased down a total of 210.

The form of their top order has been their biggest positive this season as Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have been giving them consistent starts in the season. Cooper Connolly and Shreyas Iyer has also performed well with some important innings in crucial phases of the game. Their game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was abandoned due to rain and they picked up a point as well.

The Punjab Kings took on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their 4th game of the season. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma seemed to be taking the game away from the Kings but Shashank Singh had other plans. Shashank Singh was brought into the attack by Shreyas Iyer and he got the breakthrough by picking the wicket of both the openers. From then on, there wasn’t much to trouble the Punjab Kings bowlers and they were able to keep the Sunrisers Hyderabad at 219. In the 2nd innings, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh got off to a powerful start as they scored 99 runs for the 1st wicket. Shreyas Iyer walked in to bat at number 4 and he smashed 69 off just 33 balls. The Punjab Kings won the game by 6 wickets and they moved to the 2nd spot.

In the rivalry week of the IPL, the Punjab Kings will be all set to take on the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. The Kings will be confident that they can triumph over the Mumbai Indians as the home side have had a difficult couple of games in recent times.
