Rajasthan Royals’ star pacer Sandeep Sharma pulled out a unique celebration to mark his 150 wickets in the IPL. The Royals were up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 16th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. Bengaluru, who remained undefeated in the tournament thus far, got off to a horrible start in the game. However, skipper Rajat Patidar came up with a crucial knock of 63 runs off 40 balls to give the side some stability and push the total to 201 runs.

However, Patidar’s knock was put to an end by Sandeep Sharma, who while dismissing the RCB skipper, achieved a unique feat. Sharma reached 150 IPL wickets and brought out a unique celebration to celebrate the mark. As Sharma’s cross-seamer hit Patidar’s bat, Donovan Ferreira caught it towards deep mid-wicket. The RR bowler pointed towards the sky and wrote imaginary 150 skywards. As of now, Sharma has four wickets in the IPL 2026.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru post a mammoth total of 201

Despite a horrible start to the game for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru managed to post an above-average total of 201 runs at the loss of eight wickets. Opener Philip Salt was sent back at duck, while former skipper Virat Kohli posted 32 runs in 16 balls. Devdutt Padikkal came up with 14 runs in seven balls while Krunal Pandya, Jitesh Sharma, Tim David and Romario Shepherd came up with 1, 5, 13 and 22 runs, respectively.

However, skipper Rajat Patidar played a crucial 63-run knock off 40 balls to give the side some stability. Despite having almost lost the game, the defending champions posted a total of 201 runs.
