After a disappointing outing against South Africa, India will look to get things right against Zimbabwe to keep their semi-final hopes alive. Gauta, Gambhir made two changes into his side with Axar Patel and Sanju Samson replacing Rinku Singh and Washington Sundar. The changes were made to strengthen India’s batting and also to have options in bowling.

Sanju Samson clearly did not live up to all the hype and yet again delivered a short lived innings. Samson started off brilliantly and tried to set the tone for India from the get go. He scored ten runs off the first over with a six and four before scoring 14 more runs in the same fashion.

However, he fell prey to Blessing Muzarabani in the fourth over who had the last laugh after being hit for a six in his first over. Sanju departed for 24 (15) with a strike rate of 160. It was an impactful innings, but he could have done more.

Let us take a look at how netizens have reacted to Sanju Samson’s innings.
