Making a first time appearance and that too, in a stage as revered, popular and noted as the Wimbledon final was none other than Sanju Samson. This was recorded just hours ago at the heart of England at the Wimbledon. The event was the head turning and nervy men’s final clash between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev. But while the German tennis talent fought as valiantly and brilliantly as he could, the ultimate victory belonged to the triumphant and determined Italian, Sinner.
Sanju Samson, who hardly ever lives a day where either he is not making news with the bat or when not picked the team, was dressed avidly in a sartorial and classy sense.

But having said that, he wasn’t the only young Indian presence at the famous sporting event that occurs once a year. Present alongside Samson were Abhishek Sharma and even the 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
And what was pretty evident to then naked eye was the fact that Samson was truly relieved and seemed happy enjoying a day sans any pressure, whatsoever, at his day to watch a spectacular bit of sporting action in the form of the great final contest.
And in the end, the Sinner versus Zverev was indeed a contest that will be remembered many years down the line as one to savour!
Looking dapper and cutting a proper gentleman’s frame in a light brown suit was one of India’s most talked about batters, someone who is as liked for his sublime strokeplay as his kind and courteous non dramatic mannerisms.
And it has to be said that unless you are living under a rock, you may not have noted as to why Sanju Samson was in the news most recently.
After being unable to score in the first three T20Is against England, Sanju Samson was actually dropped. It wasn’t even said that he was being “rested”!
And just when the clamour surrounding his sudden dismissal from the side began to turn on its head as a discussion point with countless fans running to round around the deeply loved cricketer, Samson was drafted in for the final T20I contest.
Alas, even in that particular contest India went down badly to England and the right hander made 27 off 14. It ought to be noted that batters like Abhishek Sharma and Shivam Dube made far lesser than Samson.
So would you consider that particular outing as another failure on the part of the Kerala born right hander or would you feel that not being drafted for the Zimbabwe series, which is actually the case with the batsman, is being a bit too crude or unreal with the nice natured man?
