India are killing it against England in the second semi-final of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and are heading towards a perfect total to defend in the second innings. They are already past 200 at the time of writing and will look to capitalize on the momentum. India were handed a perfect start by Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan who formed a 97 run second wicket partnership in the middle.

Abhishek Sharma was cleaned up by Will Jacks, but Samson and Kishan handled the pressure really well. Sanju Samson was dropped in the third over and he made England pay for that in every possible way. Samson scored 89 runs off 42 balls with a strike rate of over 200 and led India from the front.

The game is being played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The City of dreams is known for its vibrant culture and high profile citizens and the same was up for display during the match. A lot of celebrities and former cricketers are in attendance to support India as they look to win back-to-back T20 World Cups.
