“The Bigger Wicket Right Now”: Dinesh Karthik Makes Massive Statement Before IND vs ENG T20 World Cup 2026 Semifinal
Dinesh Karthik has advised Team India to introduce Jasprit Bumrah late in the match when a bigger wicket, Harry Brooks, comes out to bat in the semi-finals. He describes England’s captain as a key wicket in this game, and India should go with their best bowler against him.
On Sky Sports Cricket, Dinesh Karthik said, "I'll introduce Bumrah later. I think the bigger wicket right now is Harry Brook. I will keep Bumrah for them. Bumrah and Chakaravarthy in tandem would be a great matchup for Brook. You need to knock him over early. Buttler and Salt, I think Arshdeep and Hardik are good matchups. Salt has had his fair share of struggles against Arshdeep. Hardik is someone who is known to be a wicket-taker. I will start with Hardik andArshdeep."

"When I watch India, they've got an exceptionally strong batting line-up. I know it has not quite clicked yet, with Abhishek and the top order being key there. But I've watched their fielding, and they've looked a bit vulnerable in the field. They dropped three catches the other night. The bowling, I feel, is a good bowling attack, but if one of them has a bad day, then the spare bowler is not quite so obvious," he added.
In 7 matches, Harry Brook has scored a total of 228 runs with an average of 32.57 and a strike rate of 161.70. Notably, he has scored 1 half-century and 1 century against Pakistan when the team was in a struggle.
