It now appears that the much awaited one day white ball debut of Vaibhav Suryavanshi with the Indian cricket team, the senior men’s team, might still take time to mature or take shape. Up until this point, it had been expected that the blazing left hander would have marked his international debut with the Indian men’s team on its away tour to Ireland.
One that was considered a highly important and coveted opportunity to finally see the tremendously gifted young batter to make his India debut. But as they say, cricket is often mired with uncertainty and it’s a common saying in it that to expect the unexpected is the common byline of the game.
In lines with a similar train of thought - it appears that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might still take some time to break into the Indian team and that’s in lines with a recent skirmish of sorts that’s ongoing in Ireland which seems to have cast a bit of jeopardy on that great opportunity.
So the big question beckons - as to what really happened out there in Ireland because of which Sooryavanshi’s much expected India debut has come under a cloud of doubt.
Apparently, it has been reported that an ongoing community unrest at the moment has cast a shadow over Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s much expected forthcoming Team India debut.
The situation continues, it is alleged, to be tense and as a matter of fact if things do not improve as expected then the entire tour could be affected by the ongoing tensity in Ireland. As a result of which the much awaited white ball series may not even take place.
"Cricket Ireland is continuing to monitor the situation in areas currently experiencing community unrest and will make a decision within the next 48 hours regarding this Sunday's Irish Senior Cup and National Cup fixtures," Cricket Ireland said in a statement.
But that’s not all. There was a further statement on the part of the Indian Cricket board on the said issue, a developing situation in Ireland, that the fan ought to note-
“We remain in close consultation with the relevant authorities and our provincial unions. The safety and security of players, coaches, match officials, and supporters is paramount in our deliberations. Further updates will be provided as they become available," the statement further read!”
