Rajasthan Royals were up against the Kolkata Knight Riders in first of double header games on Sunday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Rajasthan Royals, who have been in fantastic form this tournament, have now registered back to back losses in the ongoing season.
Riyan Parag-led Rajasthan Royals posted a competitive score on a not-so-good wicket in Kolkata. The team in pink did everything in their power to defend the total against KKR - however, the home team came out on top, winning their first game of the season.
Vaibhav, who made the highest runs for Rajasthan Royals looked extremely disappointed after losing the game and was seen sitting near the dugout. The RR support staff and even the KKR support staff tried to console him, but he looked extremely disappointed after losing.

Yesterday Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was spotted crying after the game… This guy is unbelievable! Whether he gets out early or the team loses, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Honestly, that’s that 15-year-old mindset I know I would’ve been doing the exact same thing at that age! 🤣… pic.twitter.com/Ug6X4gVqks

Rajasthan Royals are currently sitting at the third position, winning as many as 4 matches and losing 2 in the 6 games they have played so far. Kolkata Knight Riders on the other hand have finally been able to open their account, winning their first game - eventually moving to the ninth position on the points table.
Currently, Punjab Kings sits right on the top of the points table, winning 5 matches in the tournament while star studded Mumbai Indians occupy the last position on the points table.
It will be interesting to see if there can be a turnaround at this stage or the current top 4 will only qualify of the play offs - which is still a month away.
