After experiencing a difficult and challenging bit of time in the United Kingdom, where the Indian men’s team have been based since the last month or so, Team India finally breathed a sigh of relief after emerging triumphant finally in a contest where it came to white ball cricket. The team under Shubman Gill’s captaincy recently went on to dominate England courtesy the skipper’s match winning fifty. The team experienced a fine victory over England by 6 wickets by winning the opening game with over 4 overs left to play.

While Rohit Sharma emerged with a fine cameo up top the order, what was also a refreshing sight was to see Axar Patel with a fantastic all round performance that saw him unbeaten on 57 with 4 wickets earlier to his name.

And even though Virat Kohli, the king of batting missed out on scoring, having been dismissed for a single digit knock against the imperious and brilliant pace bowling of Jofra Archer, he is expected to come good in the second one dayer.

However, the recent run of news surrounding one of the greatest batters in the sport hasn’t all been disappointing, nevermind the low outing with the bat in the past one day international.

In the lead up to the second game against the hosts England, King Kohli, as he is lovingly addressed by legions of globetrotting fans, was seen at the centre of a heartening moment involving a young cricket fan.

The picture seems to have taken place in a shopping plaza or similar complex and maybe based in Cardiff, the venue for the next or soon to begin second one day slated for today, July 16.

As Virat Kohli, dressed in a comfy hoodie is approached by a young and cute looking kid for a brief meet, the accomplished legendary cricketer without batting an eyelid stops for a moment to make his fan’s day.

The little boy and Virat fan, dressed in a bright red t shirt is seen accompanied by his father and together the duo approach Kohli to check out a poster that they have with them.

The said poster reads- thank you Virat for teaching us discipline and resilience.

Now having said that, what was further heartening about that moment was that that Virat Kohli pauses to pose for a picture right next to the father and son duo whilst they are holding the creative specifically made in his honour.

Virat, of course, has legions of fans around the world who have admired his timelessness and battling spirit. His batting and t great records notwithstanding, his ability to lift the spirit of his team having given it decades of perseverance and patience have been some of the hallmarks of his triumphs.

This was another such wonderful occasion where fans got to see the king of batting first hand and live in flesh and blood and so good on the great man to have made time to appreciate their love and adoration.
