In what can be a thrilling encounter with both bat and ball primed to play their keen part, a key discussion still revolves around their new find- Washington Sundar.
While Sundar’s prowess in the shortest format of the game is already known and he’s made progress in his IPL career, he’s expected to make a mark with his brand new outfit - Gujarat Titans.
But having said that, a key discussion with regard to Sundar’s position in the playing XI is still up for debate.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 encounter between the Gujarat Titans and the Punjab Kings, Aakash Chopra shared his thoughts on GT’s ideal lineup. The former India batter suggested that Washington Sundar should be entrusted with the No. 4 spot.
He noted that while the top order is largely settled, the middle order still offers multiple options. Chopra stressed that the first match will provide clarity on the team’s preferred combinations going forward.
