Messi recently visited India for the GOAT tour. He started with Kolkata, then Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi were the schedule. After the tour, Messi visited Vantara, the wildlife rescue and conservation centre founded by Anant Ambani. It was here that the football icon received the Richard Mille RM 003-V2 GMT Tourbillon ‘Asia Edition.’ The ultra-luxury watch reportedly costs around Rs 10.9 crore. Observers noted that Messi arrived without a watch and was later seen wearing the remarkable timepiece.

The Richard Mille RM 003-V2 GMT Tourbillon Asia Edition is one of the rarest models produced by the brand. Only 12 pieces exist worldwide, instantly placing it among the most exclusive watches ever made. Scarcity plays a big major role in its value, but so does the complexity involved in its design and engineering. It looks stunning. Ambani also was spotted wearing a watch from the same company.

This particular model represents years of technical innovation, careful craftsmanship and a level of detail that very few brands attempt, let alone achieve. Richard Mille is known for pushing boundaries in watchmaking, often using materials and concepts from aerospace and high-performance motorsport. It has a black carbon case, skeleton dial, and tourbillon, is a symbol of high-end horology. Lightweight yet complex, it reflects the brand’s performance.

Messi’s visit to Vantara was about deep cultural roots and in keeping with Sanatana Dharma traditions followed at the centre, Messi participated in traditional Hindu rituals and sought blessings. He was welcomed with folk music, floral showers and a ceremonial aarti. In a symbolic gesture, Anant and Radhika Ambani named a lion cub 'Lionel' in Messi’s honour, representing hope and continuity.
