All-rounder Hardik Pandya has introduced his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, to the Indian team head coach, Gautam Gambhir. Mahieka was present at Wankhede Stadium to cheer for Team India along with Hardik’s son, Agastya. The video is from the Mumbai airport when Team India assembled to leave for Ahmedabad for the final.

The video is going viral on the internet, where Hardik Pandya is introducing his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, to the head coach, Gautam Gambhir, during the security check at the Mumbai airport, when the squad assembled to leave for Ahmedabad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 final.

The couple was standing behind Gautam Gambhir during the security check at Mumbai Airport the day after India defeated England in the semifinal by 7 runs at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Hardik taps the shoulder of Gautam and introduces his girlfriend. Coach shared a hug with Hardik’s girlfriend as she congratulated him on the win.

Notably, India defeated England in the 2nd semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 by 7 runs, thanks to amazing performances from Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Axar Patel.

Now India will take on New Zealand in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 8 March. Notably, the venue has not been so great for the team in big matches. The team lost the 2023 World Cup final at the same venue and also lost a Super 8 match in this World Cup, also at the same venue. However, Team India is now looking stronger and coming with good momentum.

If India wins, they will become the first team in history to win back-to-back T20 World Cups and also the first team to win three T20 World Cup titles.
