After a fairytale win against the West Indies in Kolkata, the Indian cricket team has arrived in the City of dreams to face off against England in the second semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium. The semi-final which is scheduled for Thursday will be a blockbuster clash for both the teams, especially for India who have worked their socks off to get here.

The Men in Blue arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Monday and were received by a huge crowd of fans who were at the top of the world upon seeing their superstars. India will hope to build upon their Super 8 heroics in the game against England to reach their second consecutive final of the T20 World Cup.

The defending champions recorded a five wicket victory against the West Indies in Kolkata, thanks to a match winning knock by Sanju Samson. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) man smashed an unbeaten 97 off 50 balls and took his side over the line when it mattered the most. Wickets kept on falling on the other end, but Sanju Samson held his ground and led India to a famous and historic win over the Caribbean side.

With the group stages and the Super 8 done and dusted, India will now shift their focus to the all important semi-finals where there is no scope for mistakes. Gautam Gambhir’s men cannot leave any stone unturned if they want to defend their crown. The game against England will be a do-or-die fixture for India, just like their last game.

There is no scope for error and even the slightest of mistakes can turn out to be very expensive. England will arrive in the semi-final on the back of a fabulous run of form. The Three lions have defeated everyone who has come in their way except for the West Indies. They finished second in their group during the preliminary group stage round and then topped their Super 8 group with three wins in three games.
