Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) batting stalwart Nitish Rana paid a visit to Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple on August 19. Rana is currently active for West Delhi Lions as captain in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025. Under his leadership, West Delhi are in the fourth spot with three wins and three losses in six matches. In DPL 2025, Rana looked in fine touch with his bat in the initial two games but in the last few contests, the southpaw struggled to be among the runs. With the five-day hiatus after New Delhi Tigers’ match on August 16, Rana showed up at Ujjain’s renowned temple.

Nitish Rana also offered prayers at Garbh Grah of the temple. Speaking to ANI after his visit, the 31-year-old said that he often visits the temple as he feels that the blessings of Mahakal has helped him to evolve in his career. “I have been coming to Mahakal for the last 2-3 years. Whatever I have achieved in the last couple of years, it is only due to Mahakal.. If Mahakal's blessings remain with me, I will continue to evolve like this," said Rana to ANI.

Rana will return to his original state side Delhi for the upcoming domestic season. After serving Uttar Pradesh for a couple of seasons, he will make a comeback in his old team. As per ESPNcricinfo, the left-handed batter has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA).
