One of the most interesting things about Cricket, widely acknowledged (and perhaps rightly so as well) as the batsman’s game is something more than the runs scored or the manner in which they were scored. The game is so much more beyond the ebbs and flows or the statistical pull of numbers; the sport lies also in the magnetic pull of tha way its batters or let us say, magicians behind the art of run scoring conduct themselves. The manner in which they bat.

Their posture. Their way of taking guard.

And perhaps, if one were to dig a little deep, then even the way they prepare themselves to face the next incoming delivery.

In that aspect, Kolkata Knight Riders’ batter Rahul Tripathi is a unique batter. A consummate professional and someone who made the art of run scoring easy and admirable especially during the critical lower middle order, Rahul Tripathi arrived at KKR from his former Sunrisers Hyderabad camp.

But it’s the way he focuses and prepares to encounter the next or forthcoming delivery in the Indian Premier League - something that’s been evident for quite a while now- that got everyone talking. And needless to say, excited!

Having said that, in a recent fun video shot and produced and posted onto their social media account, the fabled Kolkata Knight Riders further highlighted Rahul Tripathi’s batting mannerisms.

In what was, clearly speaking, a fun video and one meant for purely and purely the best entertainment of fans, Rahul Tripathi’s uncanny mannerism of swinging his hips and moving his body got the attention of Tim Seifert, his BlackCaps KKR teammate.

Seifert can be seen extensively emulating the hard hitting right hander’s movement of his hips whilst preparing to face strike and face the delivery.

The two teammates then exchange a pleasant glance and some harmless banter purely for fans’ entertainment and note ensues and overall, it’s a fun video.

One that has certainly got the fans talking and engaging in these little IPL shenanigans that have nothing else but light fun at their heart.
