It is that time of the year where the biggest domestic T20 league in the world begins. IPL 2026 is set to begin from March 26 and the fixtures will be revealed soon. But the big question ahead of the tournament is where RCB will play their home matches in the 2026 IPL. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the defending champions having won their maiden IPL title last year. After winning the title they had set out to celebrate the championship in Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy stadium where unfortunately some of the fans lost their lives due to mismanagement. Ever since then Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru has not hosted any high profile match and have not allowed spectators even for local games if it is being held. So the biggest question ahead of the season is where RCB will play their home games.

Recently there was some good news as the Karnataka government gave the clearance to host matches at that stadium but due to unresolved issues between franchise and the stadium there is high possibility that RCB might not play its home games in Bengaluru.

In a recent statement KSCA official had said that there are some repair works going on at the stadium and it will only be completed by the end of the month. Sources close to RCB suggest that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are exploring Raipur as an option. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur could be an alternate option.

As of now it is not clear where RCB will be playing their home matches and we will have to wait some more time to know the exact details. But there are plenty of sources saying that Chinnaswamy stadium will not host home games for RCB this year despite getting clearance.

RCB is one of the most popular and biggest franchises and they have been getting plenty of love and support from fans. So RCB fans will be hoping that Chinnaswamy stadium continues to be the home destination for RCB. The upcoming season of the IPL will begin on March 26 and the fixtures might be released in the coming weeks.
