India Vs Pakistan At Women's Asia Cup

India will be heading into this tournament looking for their 8th Women's Asia Cup title. On the other hand, Pakistan have never won the Asia Cup title and lost to India in the final in 2012 and 2016. Whenever these two sides meet in the T20I format, India have dominated with 14 wins in 17 matches. Pakistan Women have only managed three wins against India in this format. Both teams will already have played two matches by the time they face each other. A win for either side on 5 September could go a long way in securing a semi-final berth. Sri Lanka Women are the defending Asia Cup Champions.

When it comes to the Women's T20 Asia Cup, India holds a clear 5-1 edge against Pakistan. The two sides have met six times in the tournamentโ€™s T20 history. India won five of those matches, including both group and final matches in 2012 and 2016, the 2018 meeting, and the 2024 clash in Dambulla (won by seven wickets). Pakistanโ€™s only victory came in the 2022 edition in Sylhet, where they beat India by 13 runs. That was the only match Pakistan have won against India in the Asia Cup T20 format.
