Following the defeat of Manchester United against Everton, football great Cristiano Ronaldo once again caught the limelight. But this time it was not for his historic records and feat, rather for an incident which occurred after Man United’s 0-1 loss in the Premier League game on Saturday.
It was post the loss that reaction from several players and fans caught the eyeballs. It was post match that Ronaldo threw a fans phone while returning to the changing room, which not only got him into bad books but also urged people to react on such an action by a football great.
A video of the incident went viral in no time, where Ronaldo is seen smashing a fan’s phone. However, the Portuguese footballer has now issued an apology for his action, it is being reported that the management is also looking in to the matter.

“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game”, part of his statement read.
He also apologised of his actions on the loss, stating, “I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship.”
