What comes as shocking news for the football fans across the globe, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo can make a move to another previous club of his, Real Madrid, with clouds of uncertainties hovering over his place in the last eleven of Manchester United. Reports have revealed that with Erik Ten Hag taking over the management role of the Red Devils, Ronaldo may lose his place in the squad, and thus he is unsure about his future with the Premier League club.

English Newspaper Mirror has reported that the Spanish club is keen on bringing back Ronaldo in their setup after looking at his impressive performances for Man United this season. "Cristiano Ronaldo could make a sensational return to Real Madrid this summer – with the Spanish giants increasingly keen on a reunion with the Portuguese star," writes the newspaper in its report.

Notably, Ronaldo has delivered another outstanding season with 23 goals for the Reds. Despite his team struggling to yield results, the striker has kept on chipping in with goals in almost every game he has played. And resultantly, he is being sought after by the key figures at the Bernabeu thinking he will bring lots of goals in La Liga.

Ronaldo to cut short his deal with Man United

Now, the biggest problem that stands in the way of this historic transfer is Ronaldo's two-year contract with the Red Devils. Notably, the Portuguese star had penned a two-year deal, with the option of an extra year when he returned from Italy to Old Trafford. But things have changed dramatically with United getting ready for their third manager in less than a calendar year.

Now, as Erik Ten Hag is planning a rebuild for Man United with high energy and youth in focus, Ronaldo may be left out of too many games. And that won't sit well with the United icon who has the goal record in his favor in a dismal United side as evidence he deserves to be the first name on the team sheet.
