Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo shared picture of his newborn daughter with partner Georgina Rodriguez. The news comes days after the footballer confirmed his partner had lost the child's twin brother during birth.

However, he also confirmed that Georgina & their baby girl are both fine and have returned home.

The Portugal international shared an Instagram post about their baby girl. The post was captioned, “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”

During Manchester United’s last fixture against arch-rivals Liverpool, the crowd at the Anfield expressed their support for Cristiano Ronaldo, after the death of his newly-born child. CR7 thanked the Liverpool fans as he made an Instagram post that said, “One world… One sport… One global family… Thanks, Anfield. Me and my family will never forget this moment of respect and compassion.”

"That was my moment of the game,” Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, during his post-match conference, addressed the tribute and said, “Pure class in the moment where everyone knows since yesterday so many things are much more important in life. That was my moment of the game.”

Manchester United had earlier confirmed this gesture with a statement that read, “While United and Liverpool share English football's greatest rivalry, there is a deep-rooted respect held between the two clubs and that will be highlighted by the minute’s applause, which was initially suggested by fans of the Merseyside team. Ralf Rangnick’s United squad led a request to wear black armbands at Anfield and that has been reciprocated by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.”

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, they suffered a 4-0 thumping as they lost their second game to Liverpool this season. Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick was extremely dejected by the defeat as he said, "It is embarrassing, it is disappointing, maybe even humiliating".
