CSK won against SRH in a convincing manner by 6 wickets and ensured they became the first team to qualify for the IPL 2021 playoffs. Meanwhile, SRH became the first team to get eliminated from IPL 2021. Initially, SRH were invited to bat first by the Chennai team but their batsmen never got going and kept struggling in Dubai as they were reduced to 134/7 after 20 overs.
